Casual Friday | Bump Update, Perfect Planners, Curb Alert, Blooming Bath, Etc.

Happy Friday, friends!

The clock is ticking faster and faster as we near my due date. Only 6 weeks and 5 days left to go! We’ve been busy gathering the last of the baby things we need which means I’ve had an excuse to go garage sale-ing and thrifting. My family threw a beautiful baby shower for us a few weeks ago and spoiled us with all sorts of baby supplies and the cutest outfits. These bump photos were taken at our baby shower three weeks ago.

Moving Update

We have officially found a new house! Everything is in motion and we’re set to close on our old house and new house by mid-October! Decorations and picture frames were the first things we packed last week so our house looks very bare now. I’m anxious to move and settle into our new place before baby’s arrival (fingers crossed she doesn’t come too early!).

I took some photos and video of our current house when it was staged and will share a big before and after post soon. And I can hardly wait to share our new house with you and all the grand plans I have for it!

Planner Season

If you’re looking for a new planner for 2018, the Inkwell Press planners went on sale this week! They tend to sell out, so I’d recommend ordering yours asap. I’ve always been a digital gal but converted to a paper planner this year and will never go back! I love my Inkwell Press planner. The paper is super thick, the colors are beautiful and the goal setting sections and other extras are super helpful.

I got the A5 inserts this year, and am still debating between those or a bound planner for 2018. You can use this referral link to get $10 off your purchase of $50 or more.

Read all about how I set mine up this year in this post. And don’t forget to use my link to get $10 off (min $50 purchase)!

I love paper planners! This is a great tour of the Inkwell Press planner and how she's using it to stay organized. Time to get around to organizing a planner of my own!

Put It On The Curb!

I’m determined to not move things we no longer want or need, so we’ve been trying to purge as we pack. We lugged some larger junk items out to the curb last weekend and put a “free” sign on it. I posted in one local swap group on Facebook and am amazed people actually took all my junk!

If you have old stuff sitting around that you don’t know how to dispose of, you should set it on your curb! That metal box spring was left in our garage from the last owners and I never did anything with it because I wasn’t sure what to do. Turns out I should have set it out on the curb long ago!

A Happy Podcast

The Happier podcast by Gretchen Rubin has been great to listen to at work lately. Most of the episodes are very short and have such great tips for living a happier life. Gretchen has done a ton of research on happiness and habits and I love learning from her. Check it out here. What’s your favorite podcast these days?

Blooming Bath

Have you seen these before? The reviews were promising so I ordered one the other day. I felt like a bulky plastic baby bathtub would take up a lot of space, so I opted for this blooming bath for our sink instead.  I ordered a cheerful yellow flower off of Amazon the other day. I think they’d make a great baby shower gift if you have any coming up!

Recent Binge

I know I’m behind, but I finally started watching Downton Abbey. So good! There’s also a new season of Madame Secretary on Netflix, which ranks up there as one of my fav shows. What are you watching?

Falling For Fall

There’s a Michaels dangerously close to my new office. You will find me wandering its aisles over my lunch hour sometimes ;). Their fall decor is amazing this year.

I won’t be doing a fall home tour this year since we’re moving in a month and all my decor is taped up in boxes. So I’m just trying to imagine our living room looking festive like last year. I may have to repeat those painted pumpkins!

What a gorgeous fall living room! I love the pops of red she added into this blue/neutral room. Check out that gallery wall! Great home tour.

Happy Friday!

I must ask, how are you watching Downton Abbey? I am four seasons in, but the library is not timely with DVD rentals!
