Welcome To The Small Stuff Counts
My goal is to help you create a beautiful, organized, thriving home. Your house will always be a work in progress, but I hope the projects and resources I share here will help you achieve the vision you have for your home. I wholeheartedly believe that DIY projects don’t have to be huge – even the small stuff counts!
About Emily
My name is Emily and I’m so glad you found your way to my little corner of the world! I live in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa, with my husband, David, and our daughter, Chloe. After growing up on a farm here in Iowa, I never imagined moving to the suburbs, but life has a funny way of working out, doesn’t it?
When I’m not at my full-time marketing job, you’ll usually find me working on my latest project to banish the bland beige and honey oak from our home. In addition to designing a pretty home, I have a knack for creating organization systems that keep the house tidy and running smoothly.
The Backstory
I started this blog back in 2013 because I truly enjoy writing and wanted to do more of it than I had time for at my marketing job. Fast forward a few years and this blog has morphed into something that touches thousands of women each month. It’s incredible to connect with people like you who share my desire for creating a beautiful, organized, thriving home without breaking the bank.
Let’s Connect
I would truly love to connect with you. The best ways to contact me are on Instagram or email (emily@smallstuffcounts.com).
Let’s Work Together
One of the best (and most unexpected) things about blogging is the connections I’ve made with DIYers, bloggers and brands. If you are interested in collaborating, I’d love to hear it! Email me at emily@smallstuffcounts.com. Visit this page for more information about how I work with brands.
