It’s easy to see a fancy Christmas tablescape online and assume it would be too time-consuming or costly to create in our own homes. That’s why I challenged myself to create a beautiful Christmas tablescape using dollar store supplies. And the good news is you can recreate this festive table in less than 30 minutes using $20 in supplies from Dollar Tree!
Christmas Place Setting
I kept this Christmas tablescape classic and simple with red and green decor. These plaid placemats are the perfect starting point for the table and instantly create a festive mood!
I used a set of white plates along with white and gold napkins that I already had at home. I cut a piece of greenery and twisted the wire ends together to make a mini wreath. Isn’t it cute?!
Then I tied this gorgeous red satin ribbon around the napkin, flatware and wreath. I used a simple double knot and cut the two ends into a V. The finishing touch was tying three small jingle bells around the ribbon!
I also added some pizzazz to our wine glasses with ribbon and gold jingle bells.
Christmas Centerpiece
I also loaded my shopping basket with some pretty items for a centerpiece. The beauty of it is that it’s quick to create and doesn’t require extensive DIY skills. All you do is combine items into a pretty arrangement!
I grouped three of these tall white candles in the center of the table and wrapped greenery in between and all around them to create a base for this Christmas centerpiece.
I tucked pretty little things around the edge to finish off this centerpiece. The adorable black lanterns and sparkly jingle bells are $1.00 Christmas ornaments!
These pinecones are scented with cinnamon – they smell absolutely heavenly! I also picked up a bouquet of festive flowers and tucked a few loose blooms into the greenery to complete this Christmas centerpiece.
Just imagine how pretty this Christmas tablescape will be when dining by candlelight!
