The color yellow just makes me smile because it reminds me of sunshine and fresh air. I’ve been thinking about adding some new color to our apartment and yellow is on my mind. Today’s blog topic from the March Blog Challenge was a color collage, so I thought I’d round up some yellow organization inspiration for you. Enjoy!
1. Chrysanthemum Square Tray ~ Dot & Bo
This cheery tray would be wonderful sitting on a coffee table with a vase of flowers, or sitting in your entry to collect your keys and spare change.
2. Yellow Chevron Zippered Pouch ~ Frankie & Coco
I’m looking for a couple small pouches to corral all the small items stashed in my purse, and this one would be perfect to hold some of my makeup so I can actually find it next time I’m looking. I found this shop on Etsy and they have some super cute pouches and scarves in all sorts of neat patterns. Everything is handcrafted. (And no, they have no idea I’m writing this or a clue who I am).
3. Three Tiered Round Box ~ IKEA
This box could store all kinds of things, but would be great for jewelry or even nuts & bolts.
4. Menu Chalkboard ~ Jolie Mae Collections
Menu boards seem to be floating all over on Pinterest, but I find this one extra adorable. Even if you’re not a crazy meal planner, just jotting down your ideas for dinner each night can save yourself a headache later. This Etsy shop makes signs of all kinds, including a ton of wedding-related ones if you’re wedding planning. I read their about page, and think it’s super cute that their store is named after their two daughters’ middle names. (They don’t know who I am either).
5. Yellow Storage Ottoman ~ Target
This is just the prettiest pattern with a light touch of yellow. Store an extra blanket or magazines inside, plus it will double as a side table or extra seat.
6. Sunny Day Biking Dry Erase Memo Board ~ Ekohdesign
Check out this fun-loving pattern. Something about these yellow bikes just lifts my mood. This would be a great place to jot down notes and our grocery list.
All of these items are beautiful and affordable. Know that everything here is something I would actually consider purchasing. I used Etsy to search for a lot of my inspiration, which I find to be a great way to discover small businesses and find all kinds of neat handmade items. I love finding pretty things that also help me stay organized.

I’ve been feeling yellow energy, too. I NEVER wear yellow–it has just never appealed to me in clothing–so I have no yellow in my closet. But the other day I had a hankering to wear yellow, which surprised me! So this weekend I went to my favorite store–the Goodwill–and found a new Lands End button-up shirt with a half-price tag on it, which made it a whopping $3! Now when I need that happy, sunny yellow energy I’m all set!
Good to hear! I don’t have much yellow in my wardrobe either. Just a bright yellow peacoat I’ve been wearing lately. What an awesome thrift find! I hope you’ve worn your new yellow shirt.
You’re right! Just seeing all the yellow items you listed just made my morning! It’s such a happy color 🙂
Glad it brought you a little happiness!
