Easy Fall DIY Bath Salts
Supply List
Pumpkin Spice & Apple Fragrance Or Essential Oils
Cinnamon or Brown Powdered Food Coloring (optional)
Fall-Colored Raffia (Could also use cute ribbon)
Cinnamon Sticks
Printable Jar Labels (free download)
Note: These instructions are for making one single jar of bath salts. Multiply for larger batches.
1 | Measure Epsom Salt
Pour 2/3 cups of Epsom salt into a small bowl.
2 | Add Fragrance
Add 20-25 drops of fragrance and stir. I used inexpensive fragrance oil from the craft store, but you could also use essential oils.
3 | Add Cinnamon Or Food Coloring
I sprinkled in about a tablespoon of ground cinnamon to add a subtle color to the bath salts. Powdered food coloring would also be great to stir in.
4 | Pour Into Jars
Pour your DIY bath salts into a jar. I used these cute half-pint mason jars, but you can use any small glass jar you have at home or find at the craft store.
5 | Decorate Jar
Wrap a couple strands of raffia around the jar and tie in a bow. Tuck a cinnamon stick underneath the bow for a decorative accent.
To coordinate with the scents, I used red and brown raffia for apple pie and orange and brown for pumpkin spice. Don’t they look cute?
6 | Add Label
You’re welcome to download these free printables for personal use! Here are the PDF printables. I designed these round labels to fit the half-pint mason jar lids. Cut them out with scissors and adhere to the jar lid with double-sided tape.
Aren’t these DIY bath salts so stinkin’ adorable? I just love how festive they look for fall. They’d make a great DIY gift idea for a fall birthday, teacher, housewarming or hostess gift.
I love pouring these DIY bath salts into a warm bath and soaking in the yummy fall scents. You should try making some!
Happy crafting,
