Two years ago today, my husband and I were stranded with no ride to the church for our wedding ceremony. After wedding party pictures at the country club, everyone headed to the church while we stayed behind for a few last photos of the two of us. And then before we realized what had happened, the photographer had left for the church and we were the only ones at the country club with no keys for any of the vehicles in the parking lot. Our wedding coordinator was thankfully still there doing a last minute check of everything, so she dropped us off at the church on her way home. Once we made it the church, the rings were no where to be found. Off went my rockstar personal attendant to locate the rings that had been left behind at the country club. But at the end of the day, everything ran pretty smoothly and we really did get married (although my dress ended up pretty ripped from David tripping on the train a million times 🙂 )
It’s amazing how quickly time goes by. I cannot believe it has been two years already, but at the same time I feel like we’ve been together forever. Do you know what I mean? I was looking back through our wedding photos tonight, and thought I’d share some of my favorite details with you today since I didn’t have a blog to share them on two years ago. Enjoy!
And one of my absolute favorite parts of the day was our Wedding Day Rewind video. This videographer shoots video all day, and then edits a highlight video while everyone is eating. It was really fun for us and our guests to watch it that night.
Anyone have any good wedding stories to share? I think just about everyone has something go different than planned. Someone recently told me that she showed up at the church on her wedding day and there was a stranger priest there (her’s was sick). She had no idea who the guy was! Comment below with your crazy snafus or hilarious moments–I’d love to hear!
